Galvanised pallet racking is a storage system designed for warehouses and industrial environments. Its metal components are galvanised and covered with a layer of zinc to prevent rust and corrosion. This galvanising treatment makes it particularly suitable for humid, watery or extreme temperature environments, such as cold storage, food processing plants, coastal warehouses and work areas that require frequent cleaning.

Compared with ordinary spray-painted pallet racks, galvanised racks perform better in terms of corrosion resistance. The galvanised layer can effectively prevent oxidation and extend the service life of the racks, and can maintain structural stability even in high humidity or outdoor environments. In contrast, ordinary spray-painted racks are mainly used in dry indoor warehouse environments. Their corrosion resistance is limited, and the surface spray paint is prone to wear and fall off during long-term use, which in turn causes metal rust.
In addition, galvanised racks require almost no post-maintenance, saving the cost of repainting and rust removal, while ordinary spray-painted racks may require regular maintenance to maintain their appearance and protective performance. In terms of appearance, galvanised racks usually present a natural metallic luster, focusing more on practicality and durability; while spray-painted racks can be painted in a variety of colors as needed, which is more visually recognizable and beautiful.
Although the initial investment cost of galvanized pallet racks is slightly higher than that of ordinary spray-coated pallet racks, their durability and low maintenance cost often bring higher overall benefits in the long run. In short, if your storage environment has high humidity, strong corrosion or requires frequent cleaning, it is more appropriate to choose galvanized pallet racks; while in general dry indoor scenes, ordinary spray-coated pallet racks are a more economical choice.
