Main features and application scenarios of steel shelving & racking

It is the manufacture of steel shelving and racking, typically called R&S for short, that makes up a large portion of this tough alloy, used in various forms for industrial, commercial and domestic applications around the world. Just as I-beams and metal cladding form components vital to the construction industry, the storage space provided by shelving, racking and mezzanine structures is equally important in applications such as warehousing and retail environments, to name just two of the most common examples in this article.

In the examples given above and in general, these metal structures are designed to be used as storage facilities. To function in this role, different properties may be required, depending on the exact nature of their purpose. For example, in situations where steel shelving and shelving may be needed to store items of widely varying shapes and sizes, one of the most important requirements may be the need for a more flexible structure - one that can be reconfigured simply and quickly at any time. It is not necessary to sell everything that is on display. In practice, these simple but versatile metal structures can serve an equally necessary purpose in places like public libraries, government archives and corporate offices.
