Why choose high rise cantilever racking?

Storing oversized and some oddly shaped products can cause retailers to be very tight on storage space. And for one of our U.S. customers, this was a very difficult challenge. That's because the company stores a large number of wire conduits and strut channels (structural supports for wiring, ducting or mechanical components) that are unusually long and bulky. So when the warehouse footprint doubled to 200,000 square feet, finding a shelving solution for these oversized products became especially important.

In order to improve the present situation of warehousing, our American customers turn to its long-term partner-Spieth (Xiamen) Technology Co., Ltd.. Spieth (Xiamen) Technology Co., Ltd. is an enterprise specializing in storage shelf system, mainly developing customized system solutions for its customers.

High-level cantilever racking

After field research, we determined that a high-rise cantilever racking system would best meet our U.S. customer's needs for storing large quantities of wire conduit and strut access. Cantilever racking consists of a set of single columns with brackets and durable bases that form a shelving structure suitable for storing bulky materials that cannot be handled on pallets. In addition this particular type of racking has no vertical columns in front to obstruct access to stored items, which will make it easier for staff to load and unload products with a forklift.

This custom high rise cantilever racking system is up to 35 feet tall and is primarily used to store conduit and struts. It is made of heavy-duty I-beam cantilever racks made of structural steel and features heavy-duty arm connector plates and bolted post-to-base connections for high stability. I-beam racks have other advantages. According to other users, loading and unloading products can be done from both sides of it, which reduces forklift damage and increases loading and unloading speed.

Removable tube stops have been added to the rack arms for safety, and bar codes are placed close to each stored item on the rack to make it easier for the lift operator to keep the inventory up to date when adding or moving product from the rack.

Our U.S. customer was very pleased with the solution we provided. In a statement, the U.S. customer's management said, "We have been working with Spieth (Xiamen) Technology Co., Ltd. for over 10 years. The quality of their products, the dedication of their team and their custom solutions help us improve our storage environment and make the racks more than just a place to store products."
