Aceally recently delivered a heavy-duty selective pallet racking system for a cosmetics raw material warehouse in Kenya.

The project required a solution capable of handling heavy industrial loads while fully utilizing vertical warehouse space up to 10 meters. The client was facing serious inefficiencies caused by floor stacking and limited storage organization.

HIGH LOAD REQUIREMENT

Each pallet weighs up to 2,000 kg, requiring a racking structure with high safety margin for continuous forklift operations in daily warehouse activity.

VERTICAL SPACE LIMITATION

The warehouse height reaches 10 meters, but previous floor stacking method failed to utilize vertical space efficiently, leading to severe storage waste.

The client’s warehouse in Kenya was originally operating with floor stacking storage, which created three critical issues:

● Inefficient space usage: Large vertical space remained unused, reducing overall storage capacity.
● Handling difficulty: Direct floor storage slowed down forklift access and material movement.
● Safety risks: Unstructured stacking increased the risk of product damage and operational hazards.
ENGINEERING SOLUTION
Heavy Duty Selective Pallet Racking System Design

To solve the client’s challenges, Aceally engineered a custom heavy-duty selective pallet racking system based on structural load optimization and warehouse space utilization principles.

The design was not only focused on storage capacity, but also on load safety, forklift accessibility, and long-term structural stability.

HIGH-STRENGTH STRUCTURE

Upright frames were manufactured using high-grade structural steel to ensure stability under 2,000 kg pallet loads and continuous forklift impact.

LOAD OPTIMIZATION DESIGN

Beam levels were carefully configured to distribute weight evenly across multiple storage tiers, reducing structural stress and improving safety margin.

VERTICAL SPACE UTILIZATION

The system fully utilized the 10-meter warehouse height, transforming unused vertical space into efficient pallet storage capacity.

Unlike standard racking solutions, this system was designed based on real operational conditions in Kenya, including:

● Forklift circulation paths were optimized to reduce turning radius and improve efficiency.
● Safety clearance zones were maintained between beam levels for stable loading and unloading.
● Structural load factor was designed with a safety margin to ensure long-term durability under daily industrial use.
